I have an hour of peace and quiet before the insanity known as Christmas vacation begins!! LOL This week has been crazy. And I for one am glad that it is finally over.
The Dunedin Christmas Parade was good. Most of the day with off without a hitch. The parade float looked AWESOME!! The boys were all relatively well behaved and we didn't lose a single one of them! That marks it as a successful venture in my book! We followed the parade by tearing apart the float that we spent three weeks building and then a spaghetti supper at Mr. George's house! It was great to be able to relax and hang out with friends after such an exhausting day. Neil had to work at 11. We came home to a neighborhood Christmas party. There were over 200 extra cars parked on our street. Not to mention the nine cars that decided to park in my driveway and front yard. We couldnt even get in the house! The party house was directly across the street and it included a live band. They were so loud that we could sing along with La Bamba from the bathroom. I had two very sleepy and very cranky heathens that couldn't sleep. To make a long story very short. The police werent really happy that had blocked all of the firehydrants and most of the driveways, and they really didnt like it when the underage idiot went sliding like Bo Duke across the front of the patrol car with a beer in his hand.
I was woken up at 4:30 am when Neil came in from work, I heard the truck pull up, noticed my phone was blinking that I had a text message. It said "I have to go to the hospital" and that was it. It had been sent at 3am. Neil is moonlighting as a bouncer and bartender at a Mexican Restaurant/Dance Club. He was bouncing Saturday night, went to break up a fight and was clocked in the head with a beer bottle. He fell and two guys (not the ones that hit him) started kicking him. They made two arrests, put out a warrant for the other guy, patched him up and sent him home with a nasty cut and an concussion. FUN FUN FUN!
Monday was Scouts, as usual. It was a pack meeting. All of the dens get together once a month for a big meeting. This is where advancements and acheivements are handed out etc. This month was Lukas' dens turn to do the skit. It was cute.
Today Andrew is on a field trip! They went to the Science Center. It's kinda like the Cumberland Science Museum of my childhood. They go every year. Tonight we have a birthday party to go to, tomorrow we are going to Lukas' best friends soccer game and then to hang out with their family. At some point in the next week, I have to start and finish my Christmas shopping, make 50 billion Christmas cookies, figure out exactly what the plan is for Christmas Day AND get ready for Dad and Scotty's arrival from Nashville. I can't wait to see them.
I promise to get around to uploading some more pictures, I'm bad about actually taking them off the camera.
Off to get the heathens, might take a seashell walk on the beach before Daddy gets home. It's only a four block walk to the Gulf of Mexico!

I'm jealous of your seashell beach walk! Although today was mid 60's, the weather here has been really rainy and cold, almost like Washington state (I would imagine, I've never been). I bet Scotty is going to be so excited to visit you.
